AN aggressive 19-year-old beat up a woman inside the toilets of a Cheshire bar before continuing to attack her outside.

Jessica Harrison and her friend Saoirce Daly both began assaulting the victim after she accidentally walked in on them in a cubicle in Hideout Tiki Bar in the town centre.

After chasing after the victim outside and pulling her to the ground, they only 'got off her' once her police officer boyfriend arrived.

Harrison, of St Adrian’s Drive, Widnes, appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court last Thursday after pleading guilty to assault by beating.

At an earlier hearing of Harrison’s co-defendant Daly, who also pleaded guilty to assault, the court heard how the incident happened on December 4 just after midnight when the victim accidentally walked in on the pair in a cubicle.

She apologised, but Harrison and Daly began shouting and assaulted her, pulling her hair and punching her in the face before bringing her to the floor.

They stopped assaulting her once someone else entered the toilet and the victim went outside where her boyfriend was picking her up.

The court heard how Harrison and around four other girls were waiting outside and when they spotted the victim, someone shouted ‘go get her’ and they chased after her before once again assaulting her and pulling her to the floor.

They only stopped once her boyfriend became involved and declared he was a police officer.

Harrison has a previous conviction for battery – for an incident which again, involved her same friend.

She was handed a community order in which she must complete 100 hours of unpaid work and must pay £200 compensation to the victim.

Meanwhile at an earlier hearing, Daly was ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work. She must pay £100 compensation to the victim.
