AN award-winning salon star has launched a new hair and beauty venue in Ellesmere Port.
Layered Collective is open for business in Chester Road, with the official opening event attracting a fantastic response as more than 80 people attended.
Charlotte Roberts, who is behind the new hair and beauty salon, has successfully realised her goal of opening her own business by the time she was 30, having already won national awards such as the L'Oreal Colour Trophy Men's Image Award in 2018.
After many setbacks in finding the perfect premises, Charlotte curated this space with both the clients, and members of the collective in mind.
She found the Chester Road site in October 2022 and set the builders to work on a full renovation.
The new venue, which has a Moroccan, Mediterranean and Scandinavian interior to create a calming atmosphere, and offers all aspects of hair colouring, styling and extensions, as well as brow treatments, nails and laser hair removal, with one of the most effective machines on the market.
Its slogan is 'where hair-care and self-care collide'.
Charlotte, who grew up in Ellesmere Port and has worked locally for over 13 years, has also trained with Vidal Sassoon in London and has a colour specialist degree with L’Oréal professional.
Joining Charlotte's team are two other stylists who have been recognised in national awards, Robyn Reynolds and Shea Morris.
Charlotte said: “It was really important to not only create the perfect atmosphere with the design but to find the best team.
"I have worked alongside Robyn and Shea for their whole careers, they're growing their skill set and giving the best possible service and it really shows in the work they produce.
"I am so excited to welcome clients new and old. The concept for the salon is to create a hybrid working environment for the core members of the collective and guest artists who specialise in the services they offer. It’s a modern way to curate the best possible team.”
Completing the team are Jenny Dodson of JD Smooth Laser and Michelle Morgan of Nails by Michelle.
