A MAN who once again breached his Criminal Behaviour Order by entering Chester city centre has been jailed.
John Moore, 60, of Brook Street, had been subject to the CBO since August 2019, preventing him from entering the city centre.
Moore had a lengthy record of previous convictions including shoplifting, and had breached the order on at least three occasions prior to being spotted in Town hall Square and Bridge Street on March 24.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the sole charge of breaching his CBO the same day at Chester Magistrates Court.
District Judge Jack McGarva found there was no option but to send Moore to prison and handed him a four-week sentence.
Moore was sentenced without a pre-sentence report as the court heard there was no prospect of rehabilitation and the 'very sad position the defendant finds himself in', with 'no stability' for the defendant, who had persistently breached the order.
