CHESTER'S Deva Fest has announced that it will be giving away tickets to NHS and key workers for the third year running.
The festival is set to take over Cholmondeley Castle this August 11 - 13 and according to its founder the event will be 'bigger and better than ever'. Three hundred day tickets, worth nearly £20,000, will be up for grabs in a free ballot for all NHS workers and key workers including care staff, emergency services and the education sector.
Phil Marston, Founder of Deva Fest, said: "We’ve run this ballot every year since the festival began in 2019, we think it’s important to give back to the services that support our communities. With the current situations facing these industries and the vital work they do across the nation; it now feels more important than ever to show our support and provide the opportunity for some much-deserved downtime.
"Our headliners at this year’s festival are next level, with artists including Will Young, Fleur East and 5ive, as well as Feeder and Starsailor. There will also be an exclusive dance stage, new to Deva Fest 2023, and many other new all-inclusive entertainment and activities.
"First and foremost, we’re a family-friendly festival so of course we will make sure all days are dedicated to all things fun, that’s why Saturday’s theme at this year’s Deva Fest is ‘Superhero Day’. And what better way to thank our country’s real-life superheroes than inviting them to relax and party with us?"
With more than 20,000 festival goers expected to attend in 2023, tickets include a range of family-friendly entertainment. You can expect a free-to-use fairground, live performers, a circus tent, Deva Laughs comedy tent, and a range of hand-picked street food stalls.
Ticketholders will be able to access shuttle buses from nearby cities running all weekend, as well as return weekend coach transfers from Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Wallasey and Crewe, in partnership with Tuned in Travel.
Free on-site parking is offered all weekend for those travelling to the venue by car.
The NHS and Key Workers ballot will be live to enter on the Deva Fest website on World Health Day -April 7, and entrants will have one week to enter to win a pair of day tickets, of which there will be fifty available for each day of the festival.
