AN ENTERPRISING 13-year-old from Cheshire who has created custom tags for horse riding equipment will be supported by a top equestrian centre.

Isla Suddards, the creator of HPYTags, will be manning her first trade stand at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre's International Horse Trials after setting up the innovative business last year.

HPYTags produce custom tags for equestrian equipment, as well as providing safety tags for horses out riding. This means, should the worst happen and horse and rider are separated, the horse has the owner’s name and number affixed to his saddle or bridle.

Isla regularly competes at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre with her 14.2 grey mare ‘Wilma Susie’, or ‘Connie’ to her friends.

Isla says: "I started making tags for my friends at the stables, and suddenly everybody wanted one! I set up an Instagram page and Shopify account and I’m hoping for lots of sales this summer. Thanks to Kelsall for supporting me."

The centre is set in hundreds of acres of rolling Cheshire countryside and welcomes some of the nation's top competitors from across all equestrian disciplines, including dressage, showjumping and cross country to its site on a weekly basis.

Kelsall Hill say that they wish Isla and her business the best of luck for the future.
