A CHILD actress has been recognised for her performance in a new film as her young career goes from strength to strength.
Summer-Joules Saunders, now aged nine, was just six years old when she filmed Losing Faith, and received the 'Directors Choice Award' for her impressive performance as she attended the premiere in Burton upon Trent on Saturday, April 8.
An incredible achievement for such a young actress, Summer-Joules first became interested in acting when she was five years old. She also worked for some prestigious names in the fashion industry as a child model, including: Gucci, Burberry, Balenciaga, Littlewoods and Next.
Her mother, Joanne, say that the nine-year-old has thrived upon auditions and castings, landing featured roles in movies for Netflix, Universal, DreamWorks, Avalon, the BBC and Channel 4.
The gifted youngster has begun filming a feature role in a short film in London and has recently been scouted by two Los Angeles-based acting agencies.
Summer-Joules is supported diligently by her mum who juggles her own business together with ensuring that she gets to all of her castings, jobs and extra curricular activities each week.
There is also hard work from the Majestic Academy of Performing Arts School in the heart of Chester, where Summer-Joules does the majority of her training in acting, dance, singing along with musical theatre.
The young star recently starred in Peter Pan, a MAPA production held at the city's Storyhouse theatre and will taken on the role of Annie when she takes to the stage once again in October.
Summer-Jules' mum Joanne said: "She is such a happy, caring fun and talented little girl with a bubbly personality, she’s sassy, cheeky, hilarious, smart and quick for her age and extremely loving and so supportive of others."
Rhys (Summer-Joules Dance Choreogragher) said: "Summer-Joules what a growing star. I’ve been teaching Summer-Joules for about 18 months, and the improvements she is making is outstanding. Not only does she work had and never give up, but she is also the first one to assist and support others. This little girl is going to be a star."
Alisyn (Musical Theatre Coach) said: "She is not only a talented young performer in her singing, dancing and acting, she is incredibly supportive, kind and humble."
The youngster has Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts, run by her mum, which have documented the young actress's career so far.
