CHESHIRE West will be marking the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla with a series of events, including screenings, street parties, picnics and parades.
As the ceremony takes place on Saturday, May 6, the borough will play host to several celebrations and we have put together a list including those from both Cheshire West and Chester Council and some indepedent events too.
Coronation Events
Chester Cathedral
On Saturday, May 6, from 11.15am, the Cathedral will show a livestream of the Coronation - tickets must be booked in advance for this event.
On Sunday, May 7, from 11am, the Cathedral will host a service entitled 'A Celebration of His Majesty King Charles III'. Tickets can be booked for this service however walk-in seats will be available on a first come first served basis.
Later on Sunday, from 12pm onwards, Coronation Picnic boxes can be collected from the refectory (these must be pre-ordered). All boxes will include a selection of mixed sandwiches, a cream scone and cake. Each box serves one person, and one tea / coffee will be available per box.
The picnic boxes can be ordered by everyone, not just those attending the service. Reserving picnic boxes in advance is required from the Cathedral.
Town Hall Square
The Lord Mayor of Chester will be in attendance for the 'Lord Mayor of Chester's Coronation Concert' taking place from 1.15pm to 2.45pm on Sunday, May 7.
There will be a series of performances from the likes of: A Handbag Of Harmonies, the University of Chester Choir, Proud Marys and more.
Barons Quay - Northwich
A brass band concert and afternoon tea event will be taking place on Sunday, May 7.
Tarporley High Street
A free community event will be in place on Tarporley High Street on Sunday, May 7.
Helsby Village Centre
A free event with shops, artisan crafts, food and drink, music and children's activities will be available from noon on Monday, May 8.
Ashton Hayes
A 'Big Lunch' event will be taking place at the recreation ground with a wheelbarrow parade and other outdoor activities on Monday, May 8 from 12.30pm.
Tarvin Community Centre
'King Charles III's Coronation Party' will get underway from 6pm tomorrow (Friday, May 5).
Tattenhall Park Primary School
A Coronation Garden Party will take place on Sunday, May 7 from 12pm to mark the historic event.
Off The Wall
The Chester bar has a unique take on the event with a 'Coronation Sunday - Has & Meg V Wills & Kate' party alluding to the feuding princes.
Waverton Village Hall
Waverton's 'Coronation Celebration' will begin on Saturday, May 6 and will feature music from The Argonauts.
Grosvenor Park
For those who don't fancy a party, there are several impressive plant sculpture displays created by Cheshire West and Chester's StreetCare team to commemorate the Coronation.
Street Parties
There are street parties planned across the borough, including Sunbury and Abingdon Crescent, where a street party is due to take place on the green on Saturday afternoon and 18 Mannings Lane South, where Kimberly Noble is planning to host a cake sale and BBQ which will also raise funds for Wirral Holistic Cancer Centre, from 2pm on Saturday, May 6.

Whitby Sports and Social Club
There will be a 'Football Festival to Commemorate the Coronation' at the social club. It's an under 10s Football Tournament consisting of eight teams, two groups of four. There will be a Coronation Cup and Coronation Plate to play for. Entrance to venue is free. Food, drinks and ice creams will be on sale during the event. This is one of the events scheduled for later in the year, set to take place on Sunday, July 9.
Hope Farm Methodist Church
There will be a live screening of the Coronation and free barbecue-style lunch at the church on Hope Farm Road from 10am on Saturday, May 6.
