POLICE are investigating a shocking incident which saw a stranger expose himself to a young girl in public in broad daylight in Cheshire.
At around 4.15pm on Sunday, May 14, a 14-year-old girl was walking down Arley Road in Appleton Thorn when a white car pulled up ahead of her.
An unknown man then exited the vehicle and exposed himself to the child.
The suspect is described as being a white man aged in his mid-30s to early 40s, of slim build, with short dark brown hair and a clean-shaven face.
He was wearing navy jeans, a white top and a grey hoodie, while the white car is believed to be a Seat.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing, and as part of the investigation, officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area at the time the incident took place.
PC Ann Muldowney, of Cheshire Police, said: “I understand that this is very concerning behaviour, and I want to assure the local community that we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible.
“As part of our ongoing enquiries, we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw something that did not look right to contact us.
“The same goes for anyone who thinks they may know the offender or has any dashcam or CCTV footage from around the area at the time of the incident.”
