A 40-YEAR-OLD drug driver has been banned from the roads after getting behind the wheel more than seven times the specified limit.
Carla Middlemiss, of Jean Gardens in Winsford, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court on June 8 charged with one count of drug driving.
The court heard on January 3 of this year, Middlemiss was driving a BMW along the A556 in Northwich with 378 microgrammes of Benzoylecgonine (the main metabolite of cocaine) per litre of her blood.
The specified limit is 50 microgrammes.
Taking Middlemiss’ guilty plea into account, magistrates fined her £50.
She was also disqualified from driving for 36 months and must complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
Middlemiss is required to pay £120 in court costs and a £114 surcharge.
