TOBY Carvery fans in Chester will soon be able to return to its Hoole restaurant as it reopens for the first time in five weeks following a major refurb.
'The Home of the Roast' has been modernised with updated furniture and decor with the Hoole Village venue due to open its doors once again tomorrow (Wednesday, June 27) at noon.
The restaurant is very popular, with General Manager, Craig Taylor saying that it is often very busy with three generations of families often sitting down together for a meal.
General Manager, Craig Taylor said: "We're a really busy site and we've sat within the community for a long long time. We see an older generation that remember it as the Royal Oak pub from its older days, you've got generations where parent have brought their kids and they're now bringing their own kids and so on.
"It's been kind of 1999-ish since it had its last big refurbishment and it's now had another a significant investment. It's had improved disability access with a new lift and the inside is just stunning."
Craig said that whilst the Warrington Road restaurant's scores were consistently high, one piece of feedback that was regularly given was that the interior had begun to look its age, something that has now been rectified.
"We listen to our reviews and one of the biggest things that guests were telling us was that it looks 'old'. We've now got a massively improved look and feel, the site is much more accessible.
"We've added more booths with modern features and what we needed to differently is exactly what we've done. We have retained that homely feel but with an updated interior."
The restaurant is anticipating a busy reopening and recommends that guests go online and book ahead to avoid disappointment.
