STUDENTS at a high school on the Flintshire/Chester border, have ended their school, year in style.
Year 11 youngsters at St David's High School in Saltney Ferry celebrated the end of GCSEs with prom, held at Rossett Hall Hotel, in Wrexham.
Headteacher Steve Richardson was full of praise for the teenagers and his team. He said: "It has been a pleasure to work with this group of Year 11 students. I have been impressed with their dedication, resilience and commitment, not just in the months leading up to the examinations but for the five years that the students have been with us.
"The staff here at St David's have worked tirelessly to support each and every child, and this is evident in their results and achievements.
"I would also like to acknowledge our parents and carers who have nurtured and encouraged their children throughout their school lives. Our students are indeed a credit to the school and our community. The prom is a celebration of their hard work and fantastic commitment.
"I would personally like to thank the staff at Rossett Hall for hosting the prom and putting on a spectacular evening for our students.
"Moreover, I must thank the staff and parents for their fantastic contributions, but most of all, I would like to thank the students who made this wonderful night happen."
