DOG owners in one Cheshire West village have been tackling the issue of dog fouling with a communal walking group.

Owners in Tattenhall took part in a group walk as part of the Green Dog Walker Scheme, which first launched in 2019, on Saturday, July 22. The scheme seeks to encourage dog owners to sign up to a simple pledge which states they will clean up after their dogs and that they will dispose of the bags properly.

The walk attracted several dog owners and was sponsored by Bradley Green Pet Store who provided everyone who took part a goody bag with a selection of treats for their four-legged friends.

One participant said: "It’s such a great idea to have a group dog walk and get to meet other like-minded people, the Green Dog Walkers Pledge is such a good idea encouraging people to pick up after their dogs and the Bradley Green Pet Store goody bags were a bonus."

Sian Noonan, Marketing Manager at Bradeley Green Pet Store, The Sheep Shed, Osmonds & petcetera said:

This exciting collaboration allowed us to connect with the vibrant community of dog owners in Tattenhall, while delving deeper into the brilliance of Tattenhall's visionary scheme.

"The Summer Dog Walk proved to be a successful occasion, brimming with enthusiasm as local dog owners gathered to celebrate the love for their four-legged companions. I was grateful for the opportunity to represent Bradeley Green Pet Store & engage with the community, witnessing firsthand the unwavering commitment to creating a greener community of dog ownership."
