Commenting on the fantastic results, headteacher, Kevin Smith, said: “After the significant disruption to their GCSEs, many of our Year 13 students joined Sixth Form
excited to be back in school continuing their studies but still apprehensive of what lay ahead.
"These were the first formal external examinations sat by the students and the results exceed our 2019 outcomes, so we are absolutely thrilled with what the students have achieved.
"As a school, we are extremely proud of the maturity our Sixth Formers have shown during their two-year study programme. They have rightly been rewarded by achieving some fabulous A-Level results that will no doubt help them to transition from school to university life or employment in the wider working world.
"On behalf of all of us at Christleton High School, I would like to take this opportunity to
congratulate each of our students on their hard-earned achievements. I would also like to extend thanks to our teachers for their continued commitment and professionalism, and finally, to parents and carers, whose support and constant encouragement has no doubt meant so much to our students’ morale.”
"At Christleton we feel it is important to celebrate achievements from all students, regardless of their grades, instead we measure what they have brought to our school community in their commitment to being kind, working hard, and accomplishments. Here are some students we’d like to highlight that we feel intrinsically embody our five C’s (Caring, Collaborative, Committed, Creative, and Cheerful):
● Bea Hudson, who achieved A, A, B, consistently showed a collaborative attitude with other
students and members of staff throughout their time at Christleton Sixth Form.
● Lowri Sadler and Faye Harrowsmith, who achieved A, B, B and A*, A, A, B respectively,
both demonstrated excellent care towards and for other students’ wellbeing.
● Maria Georgiou, one of our head girls, who achieved B, B and Distinction in Performing
Arts, embodied her commitment to Christleton Sixth Form.
● Special mention must also be extended to Ailidh Jones, who achieved Distinction, C, D,
and Luke Sturgess, who achieved A*, A*, B, who both expertly expressed their creativity
and cheerfulness during their time at Christleton.
