A MURDER investigation has delayed the inquest of a Cheshire man who died in Dubai.
Jerrerd Steven David Winstanley was found dead in a luxury apartment in the Damax Hills area of the United Arab Emirates city last year, aged 30.
An inquest was originally scheduled to take place this month but has now been adjourned.
This is due to the fact the police investigation is still ongoing.
Mr Winstanley was found at the apartment on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
A medical examiner in Dubai concluded that Mr Winstanley, of Thelwall Lane in Latchford, died of ‘multiple injuries,’ and his body was then repatriated to the UK.
A Home Office pathologist confirmed the Dubai medical examiner’s conclusion after a post-mortem examination at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
Mr Winstanley was formally identified from his passport while still in Dubai.
At Cheshire Coroner's Court on Wednesday (August 23), area coroner Victoria Davies formally adjourned the inquest until December 14, when a review will take place.
