Your New Home from Home
No matter which site you’ll be studying at, or whether you’re commuting or staying in accommodation, the University locations are perfect for study and fun. Alongside the libraries, cafes and subject-specific facilities at the learning sites, the city and towns the sites are based in offer a range of affordable ways to have fun, meaning there’s something for everyone!
Chester is a historical city that has the perfect blend of classic and contemporary. As you get to know the city centre, you’ll find many of your familiar favourites alongside an array of unique bars and restaurants. Shrewsbury offers a range of quirky and enigmatic independent local businesses, perfect to grab a drink or bite to eat. And our Warrington site is right in the heart of the town centre in the newly developed Time Square – putting you at the centre of the best the town has to offer.
Reaching Your Goals
Your ambition will take you to great places, and the University of Chester will get you even further. You’ll get a quality learning experience with facilities tailored to your course, while being taught by expert staff.
From day one to the day you graduate, you will be supported by your PAT – Personal Academic Tutor. Your PAT will be on hand throughout your university journey offering advice and guidance on your course. While you’ll have regularly scheduled meeting time with your PAT, our staff are friendly and approachable, and many students often meet with their PATs throughout the year beyond the required scheduled sessions as well. Your PAT will be happy to answer any questions you have and point you in the direction of any further support if required.
Getting New Opportunities
University can also open up a wealth of new opportunities for you. At the University of Chester, it’s all about self-development and providing you with opportunities to help you reach your future aspirations.
Through courses with built-in employability skills and our Work Based Learning module, you can gain real experience and make real connections in the professional world. You can also gain experience overseas and connect with a global network through our study abroad opportunities.
There are also extra opportunities like volunteering placements, the Chester Difference Award, the Venture Programme and free language learning. On top of this, there are part-time job opportunities to earn while you learn and a Careers team full of experts who can offer support during your studies and after you graduate.
