SCHOOL leaders at the Catholic High School in Chester will open the school to prospective parents later this month.

The Catholic High School Chester Open Evening will take place on Thursday, September 21, from 6pm-8pm at the Handbridge-based school.

Cathy McKeagney, head of the Catholic High School, said the open events are a chance for children from Years 5 and 6, and their families, to tour the school and take part in a number of activities.

She added: “We are so excited for what is the biggest event in our school calendar. Our Open Evenings are always buzzing with excitement and lots of interactive activities for prospective pupils to take part in. Our staff and wonderful students have been working really hard behind the scenes to make this the best one yet!“

Catholic High has just celebrated its 50th anniversary and is a well-established school within Chester and the wider areas. It also received a Good rating from Ofsted at an inspection in 2022.

The deadline for primary school pupils applying for high school is Tuesday, October 31.

"There is no need to book a place for the Open Evening on the 21st, just come along!" added Mrs McKeagney.
