AN Ellesmere Port man has admitted a series of burglaries in the town.

Mark Latham, 52, of Lime Street, appeared from custody at Chester Crown Court on Monday, October 2 to admit four burglaries which happened on business parks.

Latham admitted that, between May 5-8, he entered Clear Accounting on Rossmore Business Village and stole five Lenovo laptops to the value of £2,500, a 50-inch TV screen worth £900, five or six telephone units, a set of Apple airpods, a pair of glasses and two bank cards.

He also admitted entering Alternative Approach on Rossmore Business Village, stealing a £400 Milwaukee drill set, and entering Matt Finish on Waters Business Park, stealing £100 in cash, £30 digital scales, a £80 Alcatel phone and a £300 PC monitor. Both offences happened on August 27.

He also admitted entering CyberIAM on Rossmore Business Village on August 19 with intent to steal.

Latham denied attempting to enter Sovini Trade Supplies on Oak Street, Ellesmere Port on August 29 with intent to steal, and attempting to steal a £100 Ring doorbell belonging to Taylor Roberts Accountants in Ellesmere Port on August 11. Those counts were ordered by the court to 'lie on file'.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be obtained. A criminal behaviour order for Latham is to be proposed, and is opposed by the defence.

Latham was remanded in custody until his sentencing date on November 20.
