IT was a stunning night to remember for a Chester business at this year's National Beauty Awards.
Doll Beauty HQ are celebrating a hugely successful event, taking home the win for Best Salon, Best Beauty Product, Best Salon Decor and Best SPMU (Semi Permanent Make Up) for Kirsty Cunningham.
The National Beauty Awards was hosted last week at The Titanic Hotel in Liverpool and recognised talent within the beauty industry from all across the UK and Ireland, celebrating the best of the best in the field.
Since its opening, Doll Beauty HQ has become a staple location in Chester for all beauty treatments and regularly welcomes famous faces from Cheshire and beyond.
Originally opening in Hoole in 2016, the same year as the product line launched, the salon quickly expanded and moved to its permanent home on Boughton High Street. This was due to huge demand for their services and an ever growing list of clientele.
The location now spans across two floors and with its beautifully striking aesthetic, has also been home to a number of celebrity photoshoots including previous Love Islander and TV presenter Olivia Attwood’s I Saw It First collaboration.
'Over the moon'
The beauty industry was hit incredibly hard during the pandemic, which has taken a number of years to recover.
On average, hair and beauty businesses saw a loss in turnover of 45 per cent in 2020, and as much as 57 per cent in some regions.
However Doll Beauty HQ, despite the struggles and ongoing effects of the cost of living crisis, continues to thrive; reporting a 30 per cent increase in bookings from the last 12 months and a staff growth of over 20 per cent.
Founders of Doll Beauty, Danielle Gregory and Samantha Allen, said: “We’re over the moon to have received such an incredible response at the National Beauty Awards.
"Everyone at Doll Beauty HQ works so hard to ensure our customers receive the highest quality of service and always have the most memorable experience.
"We’re so proud of where we’ve come in years and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. A huge thanks to all our customers and staff who without you all it just wouldn’t be possible.”
