RESIDENTS in Cheshire are jumping for joy after a win on the People's Postcode Lottery this week.
It was announced today, October 19, that one lucky postcode in the Great Sankey neighbourhood of Warrington has won a whopping £30,000.
It has been revealed that 26 residents have won a share of the jackpot, which was won by residents of Norbreck Close.
The win has landed each person playing with the postcode a cash prize of £1,000 for every ticket they hold.
23 of the neighbours have picked up cheques for £1,000 each.
Two people have doubled their prize thanks to playing with two tickets, and one triple ticket holder has picked up a cool £3,000.
People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt congratulated the winners, saying: "Neighbours winning together is what People's Postcode Lottery is all about, so it's incredible to have 26 people sharing this good news together.
"I'm thrilled for them all and hope they treat themselves to something special with their prize."
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.1billion for thousands of charities and local good causes.
One charity close to the winners in Great Sankey to have benefitted from the money raised by players is JUMP Children's Charity, which supports children with life-limiting health conditions by providing fun memorable experience days for children and their families.
Earlier this year it received £15,000 raised by players.
