MEXICAN-INSPIRED restaurant brand Taco Bell will open a new restaurant in Ellesmere Port - not to be confused with Chester - next week.
The new location will be the brand's 134th UK restaurant when it opens on Monday, October 30 at the Coliseum Shopping Park near Cheshire Oaks.
Taco Bell UK received a few jibes on social media after its initial announcement, which listed the new restaurant as its Chester location, was posted on X yesterday (Monday, October 23). A new corrected post appeared earlier today.

Renowned for its quick-service Mexican-inspired classics; Taco Bell has been serving tasty tacos, bursting burritos, yummy nachos and its famous quesadillas in the UK since November 2010 but has seen a rapid expansion in recent years, with just 29 UK locations up until as recently as 2018.
The Ellesmere Port restaurant will be the brand's first store in Cheshire West.
The restaurant will offer dine in or take-away, with digital kiosks in store for orders as well as a click and collect option. Delivery platforms, including Uber Eats and Just Eat, will launch later this year.
Local Ellesmere Port residents are invited to say ‘hola’ to Taco Bell with a free taco offer when customers download the Taco Bell UK app.
"We’re excited to be able to bring Taco Bell to Ellesmere Port," said Lucy Dee, Head of Marketing at Taco Bell UK.
"The people of Ellesmere Port have been crying out for Taco Bell and we’re very pleased to be able to deliver; creating local jobs despite challenging circumstances. We look forward to feeding residents from Monday onwards in store and take away."
Taco Bell Ellesmere Port is located at the Coliseum Shopping Park, CH65 9HD and is open from Monday, 11am to 10pm, seven days a week.
