Motorists are experiencing long delays on the A55 near Chester.
A serious collision has closed both sides of the A55 in Chester this afternoon.
The incident has been reported between the junctions of the A51 and the A41.
Both sides of the carriageway have been closed as emergency teams have been deployed to the scene.
Police are urging motorists to avoid the area.
