IT'S beginning to look a lot like Christmas at a Chester community.
The weather may have been cold on the night of Friday, November 24, but there was plenty of cheer on Garden Lane as the Garden Quarter's Christmas lights switch-on returned.
Led by Theatre in the Quarter artistic director Matt Baker, choirs and bands led residents on a musical parade throughout the street as the festive displays were lit up in stages.
Performances included those from Chester Blue Coat Church of England Primary School, the University of Chester Choir and Handbag of Harmonies, plus a special performance of Slade's Merry Christmas Everybody by school band Kingsway.
Festivities continued with the Garden Quarter Christmas Market at St Thomas' Church the following day.
All are welcome to Chester Blue Coat's school fayre from 3.30pm on Friday, December 1.
