A CHRISTMAS market in aid of armed forces charity, SSAFA, will take place this evening (Thursday, November 30) near Dale Barracks in Chester.
The Dale Community Christmas Market, which will take place at the nearby community centre on the Dale, has been arranged by the families of serving offers alongside others from the local area.
The SSAFA is the UK's oldest tri-service military charity and supports both regulars and reserves in the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the British Army and the Royal Air Force and their families.
They provide support for both the physical and mental challenges that ex-servicemen and women face when leaving the armed forces and adjusting to civilian life.
The evening will feature a range of stalls from local businesses offering cakes, crafts, clothing and other gifts.
There will be refreshments and a picture hunt for children, with hidden Christmas images and sweet prizes. There will also be a gift grab, tombola, and balloons.
The Christmas market will run from 6pm until 8.30pm.
