A TEENAGER from Ellesmere Port has been fined for possession of cannabis.
Leo Gratrix, of Clayhill Green, Little Sutton pleaded guilty to possessing the Class B substance when he appeared at Chester Magistrates Court.
The court head from prosecutor Lisa Maguire that Gratrix, 19, was stopped and searched by police officers on Rossmore Road West, Ellesmere Port on September 16.
He was found to be in possession of four bags of cannabis.
Chris Hunt, defending, said the quantity found on Gratrix was a “small amount and for “personal use”.
Magistrates handed Gratrix an £80 fine, and he will also pay £120 in court costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
Addressing Gratrix, chair of the magistrates bench Olga Randall said: “Hopefully you find a way to turn your life around and go down a different path.”
