A sliproad on the M53 motorway in Ellesmere Port was closed this morning (Thursday, December 28) following a road traffic collision.
Emergency teams were deployed to the scene of the incident on the M53 southbound carriageway sliproad at Junction 7 at 8.37am.
The road closed was the sliproad on to the motorway, heading in the direction of the National Waterways Museum and Cheshire Oaks.
Three fire engines - one from Ellesmere Port, one from Chester and one from Powey Lane - were called out to the incident.
The incident involved a single vehicle and firefighters had to remove the roof of the vehicle to extricate one casualty, who was then handed into the care of paramedics.
