A MAN has been jailed for drugs supply offences after his vehicle was stopped in Ellesmere Port.
Jack Pritchard was sentenced to 10 months in prison at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, December 21.
The 27-year-old, of Scotton Avenue, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, had previously pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of ketamine and possession of cocaine.
On Monday, October 17, 2022, Pritchard was driving a silver Vauxhall Astra when it was stopped near to his home address in Ellesmere Port, at around 1.50am.
Both Pritchard and the vehicle were searched, and Pritchard produced two small bags of white powder – cocaine – from his trouser pocket.
He then refused to complete a roadside drug test and was arrested.
Analysis of his mobile phone revealed drug-related messages, showing Pritchard was involved in the supply of ketamine.
DC Wellings said: "Thanks to our officers and their proactive police work, we have been able to put a stop to Pritchard’s offending and take illegal drugs off the streets.
“We always endeavour to do all we can to combat this kind of behaviour, to make our communities safer places to live and visit, while making it harder for people intent on supplying drugs to operate.
“We will always act on any information about drug-related activity and would urge anyone who believes this activity is happening in their community to Cheshire Police by calling 101 or through our website.”
