THE Met Office has issued a weather warning for all of Cheshire.
A yellow weather warning for heavy rain is in place from 5pm to 9pm on Monday, January 1.
Travel disruption is likely, and flooding of homes and business a possibility, as more heavy rail will fall on ground already saturated following widespread downpours on New Year’s Eve.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Heavy rain falling on saturated ground is likely to cause some travel disruption.
“Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible, as well as spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.
“Bus and train services may be affected as journey times could take longer.”
