HEAVY rainfall to start the year has seen the region subject to a number of flood alerts in the past few days.
The River Dee has seen its levels rise, leading to the Environment Agency to issue several amber flood alerts for the area.
X (formerly Twitter) user Andrew Boycott shared with the Chester Standard this impressive video footage he captured of flooding from the Dee, spreading across Farndon and Holt on Wednesday (January 3).

A flood warning remains in place for some parts of Chester.
The amber alert covers low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around low lying land and roads around the River Dee at Shocklach, Farndon, Handley, Lower Kinnerton, Chester and Puddington.
An Environment Agency spokesperson said: "We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.
