THE annual Chester Raft Race is quite the spectacle, whether you're taking part or watching.
Held every July (with a two-year covid pause) in the Groves on the River Dee, the event is also a fundraiser for local charities.
Currently organised by the Chester Grosvenor Round Table, this year's race is expected to be bigger and better than ever.
In this gallery, we look back at the fun occasion from the summer of 1990.
It's fair to say if you finished it dry, you didn't do it right!
