A WAXING specialist in Chester has been nominated for this year’s National Beauty Awards.

Dr Wax is a Lycon wax specialist based in Doll Beauty HQ in Chester, owned and run by Jessica McLeay.

With 13 years’ experience in the beauty industry, Dr Wax offers an array of waxing services for both men and women but specialises in intimate waxing - including the ever-popular ‘Hollywood’.

Only in 2022 did Jess take the leap of faith and start her dream waxing business, and that leap of faith has definitely paid off as Dr Wax has been shortlisted as a ‘Best Waxing Specialist’ finalist for the National Beauty Awards 2024.

Just five applicants from each category are successful in making it to the finals of the UK’s leading beauty awards, making this a great achievement and certainly one to celebrate. 

Speaking about the nomination, Jessica said: "I'm so made up to be in the final of the National Beauty Awards for 'Wax Specialist of the year' 2024.

“It is an honour to be in the running for this, I am so excited!"

The National Beauty Awards 2024 ceremony will be happening on May 26 in Liverpool.

After what the organisers have described as their most successful year yet for entries, it is going to be a spectacular red carpet event of the year for the industry.
