EMERGENCY services were required on the M53 near Ellesmere Port this morning (Friday, February 9) after a car left the carriageway.
The vehicle had been travelling on the northbound side of the motorway when the incident occurred shortly before 8am between junction 5 (Hooton) and junction 4 (Brimstage).
A spokesperson for National Highways said: "We can confirm that this incident involved one car leaving the carriageway on the M53 this morning.
"The incident happened northbound between Junction 5 (Hooton) and Junction 4 (Brimstage).
"The incident was reported at 8.03am and emergency services attended.
"The car has been recovered and removed and all lanes of the motorway are now clear."
