A CHESTER-BASED holiday accommodation business has won a regional award for its innovative advertising.
Sykes Holiday Cottages beat out tough competition to be crowned Digital Marketing In-House Team of the Year by a panel of industry judges at the Northern Digital Awards.
The judges considered the team’s performance and training offered, as well as the overall positive contribution to the wider business.
Sykes’ marketing team was recognised for its contribution to driving bookings and specifically the innovative use of social media including TikTok.
The Northern Digital Awards has celebrated the Northern regions of the UK for over 10 years, with a judging panel made up of industry experts to recognise the very best in digital marketing campaigns and regional talent.
All winners were announced at a ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, with hundreds of industry representatives and peers coming together for the occasion.
Graham Donoghue, CEO of Sykes Holiday Cottages said: “We couldn’t be prouder of our marketing team for picking up this award. They’re incredibly hard working and have delivered a number of impactful campaigns and initiatives over the past year which ultimately support UK tourism.
“We acknowledge and reward the talent within our business but it’s great for them to get the external recognition too. It’s another award to find a space for in our very full trophy cabinet!”
Sykes achieved B Corp certification last year, marking a major milestone in the holiday let agency’s ambition to make a positive contribution to its people, the planet, and communities it serves.
It now employs more than a thousand people throughout the UK and has operated its headquarters in Chester for the past 28 years.
