Harold Alfred 'Harry' 'H' 'Azzer' Gittins
Passed away at home on 9th February 2024, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of June. Beloved father of Deborah, Carl, Claire and father-in-law of Rob, Jackie and Paul. Adored grandfather of Rebecca, Nathan, Josh, Meg, Molly and great-grandfather of Owen and Eli. Cherished brother of Joan, Barb and the late Sylvia, brother-in-law of Brian, Roy, Maureen and the late Colin. Harry was Chairman of Rivacre Angling Club for many years before spending retirement golfing at Ellesmere Port and Pryors Hayes Golf Clubs. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Kenneth 'Ken' Holding
It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce Ken’s passing, on Monday 29th January 2024. A much loved husband to the late Patricia, dad to Simon, Fiona and Robin: and grandfather to his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed, although it is comforting to know that he will now be reunited with his lost loved ones. Verena Gladys Anne Howie
Peacefully passed away at Home on 13th February 2024, aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of Lance. Beloved mother of Simon, Kevin and mother-in-law of Sally and Kelly. Adored grandmother of her 7 grandchildren. Verena was a long time supporter of Chester Male Voice Choir, helping at many of their events and socialised at Whitby Sports and Social Club. Verena will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Richard 'Richie' Humphries
Passed away peacefully at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd on 7th February 2024, aged 88 years. Reunited with his loving wife Ruth. Cherished dad to Kathleen, David and Pam, father-in-law to David and the late Kevin. Grandad to Adam and Melissa. Much loved brother to Lillian and brother-in-law to Phil. Richie will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service to held on Thursday 7th March 2024 at St Peter’s Church, Waverton, Chester at 3:00 p.m., followed by burial. Richie’s family have stated that there is no need to wear black just dress as you please. Lawrence 'Larry' Kenny
Sadly passed away on 1st February 2024, aged 76 years. Reunited with his loving daughter Sharon. Much loved husband to Margaret. Cherished Dad to David and father-in-law to Laura. George Edward Mather
Passed away peacefully on Monday 12th February 2024, at the age of 87 years. It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He leaves behind his three children, Steve, Keith and Julie, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. If anyone would like to celebrate the life of George with the family, the funeral is being held at Blacon Crematorium on Friday 15th March at 1.20pm. We politely request, that we have family flowers only and any donations we receive are being donated to ‘The Mayfields’ (Methodist Homes Association). This is where George has spent the last few years living and being so brilliantly cared for by the amazing staff. The wake will be held at The Groves Club, Chester Road, Whitby, Ellesmere Port CH66 2NZ following the service.
