A NEW artisan market will open in Frodsham at the end of March.
The picturesque town which lies just north-east of Chester, once home to Daniel Craig and Gary Barlow, will be home to Frodsham Artisan Market from March 30.
Market organisers Independent Street will bring just shy of 60 specially selected artisan market stalls to the town centre plus live music from talented singer songwriter Chris Taverner. There will also be face painting, Easter cupcake decorating workshops and an Easter Egg hunt.
The market aims to showcase the very best of local food, drink arts and crafts with carefully curated stalls.
From award winning pies to epic cakes, Lebanese delicacies, olives and mezze, gluten free and vegan, artisan candles and handmade jewellery, to local art and design, hand baked treats for dogs, beautiful handmade textiles, Portuguese deli, wooden crafts, tasty cheeses, local gin distilleries, artisan soaps and vintage stalls.
There will also be a chance to try street food from around the world in the Street Food Arena.
'A real treat'
The event will become a regular fixture for the town, taking place on the last Saturday of each month.
Lisa Cowley from Independent Street said: “Frodsham you are in for a real treat! We hope you can join us for the very first Frodsham Artisan Market which will see the whole community come together. The feedback from local business and residents has been overwhelmingly positive and there is a real buzz in town about our launch. It is very exciting!
“An event like this is a great way to showcase local talent whilst also boosting footfall to the town centre. Our artisan market will be packed full of local artisan producers, small independent businesses selling unique crafts and delicacies.
