A GARDEN centre near Chester raised more than £35,000 for a hospice through its annual Santa's grotto.
Gordale Garden and Home Centre has announced the success of the event, which raised a total of £35,836.04 for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
The grotto opened its doors on Saturday, December 2, 2023, and delighted visitors until Saturday, December 23, 2023.
Peter Nicholson, managing director of Gordale Garden Centre, said: “We are immensely proud of our community’s generosity.
"The success of Santa’s Grotto reflects the spirit of giving that defines Gordale.”
Ms Sam Eastwood, community and events fundraiser at Hospice of the Good Shepherd, said: “The funds raised will directly impact our patients and their families. We extend heartfelt thanks to Gordale, our volunteers and everyone who participated.”
