ONE of Chester’s most popular restaurants has launched a new speedy lunch option.
Upstairs At The Grill first opened in Chester in 2002, bringing the essence of a New York steakhouse to the Northwest.
The premium restaurant has now put together a new ‘rapido’ lunch menu which will see a pared down collection of classic dishes, with sides and clever wine recommendations.
More budget friendly, the lunch menu will be served Monday to Saturday from 12pm until 4pm, alongside the full A La Carte menu.
Lunch begins with a ‘surprise’ bread course, complete with signature bone marrow butter, as a menu browsing accompaniment.
The menu lists just five main dishes, although crowd pleasers are included, like Steak Frites - a well-aged 6oz rump steak, served on a skillet, oozing with Café de Paris Butter, and seasoned American fries – and The Butcher’s Block Sandwich - 28 day dry-aged rump, sweet onions, roasted peppers and tangy aged Gouda, all sandwiched together in a crusty sourdough roll.
The menu features a Caesar Salad with crisp cos lettuce, grilled chicken, Parmesan, anchovies, brioche, croutons, and plenty of homemade dressing.
If meat is not really your thing, pescatarians, veggies and vegans can pick from fresh Fish of The Day, coal roasted with fresh lemon and seasonal accompaniments, or Charred Heritage Cauliflower with roast onion puree and herb salsa served with American fries.
Signature sides, including Mac ‘n’ Cheese, crispy Salt and Vinegar Onion Rings and Heirloom Tomato Salad are also available.
