A NEW children’s play area is under construction in Lache as part of plans to regenerate the area.
Work is underway to improve Lache Park on Sycamore Drive as part of Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Lache Action Plan.
In an update on social media, the Council today (Tuesday, April 30) said:
“Work on the fantastic new play area in Lache is progressing well and it is due to open early summer.”

The proposal for Lache Park is one of four main priorities set out by the Lache Action Plan. The new equipment and facilities are designed to support inclusive play.
The remaining proposals include the conversion of the Backies/LAPA Field into a greenspace to be enjoyed by residents and wildlife, the refurbishment of Lache Community Centre and improvements on Hawthorn Road and Poplar Place to ensure better traffic management and safer routes for walking and cycling.
A dedicated webpage has also be assembled to keep residents update on the progress of the project.
Each project has a local residents ‘task and finish group’, (a group of key partners and residents who work together on specific project over a short period) established to help shape the emerging scope of proposals and ensure residents voices are heard.
