A perfect place for cat and book lovers has opened its doors in Cheshire.
The Curious Cat Bookshop, located at 50 Main Street, Frodsham, welcomed its first customers on March 15, 2024.
The boutique-style shop, filled with meticulously chosen books and friendly resident cats, is fast becoming a focal point in the community.
Aimed at adults and children, the shop offers a wide repertoire from contemporary fiction to treasured classics.
The cats add a, homely touch, making book-browsing a fun experience.
In a bid to support local writers, the store recently hosted Frank Melling and Vivien Shaw for their novel launches.
Future plans include more book launches, in addition to BookSwop nights.
Looking ahead to their next event, the shop partnered with award-winning foodhall and wine merchant Whitmore and White to host acclaimed author Kate Mascarenhas on May 14.
Shop owner, James Caldwell, has a clear vision for this venture.
He has said: "We wanted to create a place where we could share stories from upcoming authors alongside a curated list from bestsellers whilst creating a friendly welcoming atmosphere through the playful presence of our cats.
"Whether you're here to find your next favourite novel or to experience the joy that a cozy independent bookshop can bring, we hope you'll feel right at home."
