A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for thunderstorms across Cheshire West and Chester on Sunday.
The Met Office have advised that thunderstorms in the area may lead to travel disruption and some flooding.
The current alert is in place from noon until 10pm on Sunday, May 12.
The warning for thunderstorms was issued today (Friday, May 10).
Whilst yellow warnings are the mildest, residents are being advised that spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
There is a small chance that some areas may be cut off as a result of flooded roads.
The Met Office also say that flooding or lightning strikes could cause delays and cancellations to train and bus services.
There is a slight chance of power cuts which may affect some homes and businesses.
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
