The Northern Lights has lit up the night sky with rare sightings across Cheshire West and Chester.
Excited members of Chester Standard's Camera Club posted pictures of bright pink and green skies over the city in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, May 11).
Elsewhere the Northern Lights, also known as aurora borealis, has been spotted in Whitley Bay on the north east coast, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Wokingham in Berkshire.
Camera Club member Chris Rogers said: Amazing seeing the lights, one ticked off the bucket list."
