A FLOOD alert has been issued for an area of Chester.
The Environment Agency state the warning covers Highfield Drain and Finchetts Gutter at Abbot's Mead.
A spokesperson said yesterday (Thursday (May 23): "River levels are high and will remain high overnight tonight. Further light rain is forecast throughout this evening.
"We will continue to monitor the situation."
The warning covers properties on and around Parkgate Road including Abbotsmeads and Abbots Terrace.
