Residents from a Chester care home were delighted as they were treated to a day out at Chester Zoo.

Crabwall Hall residents beamed during their visit, experiencing animals from around the globe.

The day, enjoyed with coffee, chips and cheerful sing-songs on the home’s minibus, was a heartwarming event.

Nicole Welch, the general manager of Crabwall Hall, said: "Our residents have really enjoyed their day out at the zoo.

"Trips out in the homes mini bus are a regular event for the residents, we are currently planning more days at the Zoo and a day trip on a narrowboat.

"The day was a lot of fun, and the weather was on our side too!".

Run by Barchester Healthcare, Crabwall Hall provides personalised care for 38 residents, from respite to long-term stays.
