Sports students from the University of Chester have raised thousands for charity.
The student sports teams raised more than £12,000 for different charities throughout the academic year.
The total was announced during the annual Athletics Union Awards event hosted at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chester, where the best in university sport was celebrated.
Netball bagged the Club of the Year award, while Pole Fitness won a special achievement award for its fair and inclusive training with more than 100 members.
The teams held various fundraising activities throughout the year, and raised £12,122 in total.
Leading the way was Netball, which generated a remarkable £3,592.19.
Rounders and Softball (£1,037.12) and Cheerleading (£1,713) also cleared the £1,000 mark.
The notable charities that benefited included Cancer Research which received £2,885 and Breast Cancer Research at £1,222.
CJs Bakery and Chester Aid for the Homeless (CATH) also saw support with £1,109 and over £600 respectively.
Ali Cutler, sport and active lifestyle manager at the University of Chester said: "We’re so proud of all our sports teams for their fundraising work as well as creating fun environments for our students to take part in such a wide range of activities.
"Congratulations to everyone involved."
