THERE was heavy traffic on the A540 Chester High Road this afternoon (Thursday, May 30) following a crash near Neston.
The incident, which was first reported at around 1.30pm, blocked the southbound carriageway of the A540 near the junction with Hadlow Road.
Two fire crews, one from Powey Lane and another from Ellesmere Port, attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters attended a road traffic collision involving two vehicles.
"They made the vehicles safe and paramedics attended to care for two casualties. Police fended traffic while the incident was ongoing."
Traffic levels in the area have since returned to normal.
