A CHESHIRE-BASED biker group met with the Lord Mayor of Chester recently as they prepared to make a 3,000-mile journey to exchange gifts with one of Chester’s twinned cities, Senigallia.
Deva Legion H.O.G (Harley Owners Group) Chapter will set off on June 1, to arrive in the Italian port town ahead of the 30th annual European H.O.G Rally, which is attended by thousands of Harley Davidson enthusiasts from around the world.
Whilst in Senigallia, the group will exchange gifts with the Mayor of Senigallia, Massimo Olivetti.
Stu Norton, director of Deva Legion, said: “The opportunity for a ‘gift exchange’ couldn’t be missed.
“When we contacted the Lord Mayor’s Office, they were more than happy to arrange a gift for us to present to the Mayor of Senigallia on their behalf.”
Around twenty riders travelled from the group's base next to Chocks Away Diner in Hawarden to the Town Hall where race-goers, tourists and shoppers alike were delighted to see the bikes and meet Chapter members.
Member were also invited on a tour of the Town Hall with the Lord Mayor.
