A BUSY medical centre in the city centre has warned residents with appointments from tomorrow until Friday to allow extra time to get there.

Bosses at the City Walls Medical Centre, St Martin's Way, have issued the warning as a significant number of roads will be closed from tomorrow (Wednesday, June 5) until 5pm on Friday, June 7.

The measures are in place ahead of the Duke of Westminster's wedding at Chester Cathedral on Friday.

A statement from the surgery reads: "From 8am on Wednesday, 5th June, 2024, until 5pm on Friday, 7th June, 2024 several roads in Chester city centre will be closed for the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the seventh Duke of Westminster, and Dutchess-to-be Olivia Henson.

"The wedding is scheduled for Friday, June 7, and is expected to be a grand event with invitations sent to members of the Royal Family.

"To ensure public safety, a significant number of roads will be closed starting from June 5.

"If you have an appointment on one of these days, we kindly ask you to take this into account when planning your journey to ensure you arrive on time."
