IF YOU’RE one of the many people due to visit the city centre on Friday (June 7) for the Duke of Westminster's wedding, you may wish to bring a brolly.
Thousands are expected to turn out for the special event, which will take place at Chester Cathedral, however the weather is set to be changeable.
The forecast remains quite mild for the remainder of the week, with sunshine and showers likely throughout this afternoon and into the evening.
Temperatures for today and tomorrow are expected to be around 15 degrees.
Thursday is cloudy with less sunshine, and showers are still a possibility throughout the morning and into the early afternoon.
The Duke of Westminster's wedding
The Duke’s wedding day carries the highest chance of rain, however at the time of the ceremony this is still relatively low, with BBC Weather reporting up to a 32 per cent chance of precipitation at midday and the Met Office more conservatively predicting 10 per cent.
This chance increases later in the day, with the BBC saying rain is most likely (53 per cent chance) at around 8pm.
Friday morning is due to be cloudy, but patches of sunshine are expected throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
Temperatures could reach 17 degrees, although a moderate breeze will mean this feels more like 15 degrees.
Sunshine and showers continue to be the theme over the weekend. Saturday is forecast to have sunny intervals throughout the day with a low chance of rain, and temperatures of around 16 degrees.
Sunday is forecast to be marginally warmer with highs of 17, but it will remain difficult to shake off those clouds.
