FILM crews were spotted filming a new Netflix series at Parkgate.
Netflix’s new TV mini-series, Missing You, has been filming across the Liverpool City Region.
Images captured by Globe reader Robert Clive on Wednesday (June 5) showed camera crews shooting scenes outside shops along The Parade in Parkgate.
The five-part series is adapted from a novel by Harlan Coben who is acting as an executive producer on the series.
Rosalind Eleazar, 35, is starring in the lead role as Detective Kat Donovan. The cast of the also includes Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton and James Nesbitt.
Netflix commissioned the show on the back of the success of another Harlan Coben adaptation, Fool Me Once, earlier this year, which was from the same producers.
Missing You tells the story of how eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan's fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she's never heard from him since.
Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again.
Josh's reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.
The series is written by Victoria Asare-Archer and directed by Sean Spencer.
