A TWO-CAR crash took place at a railway station in Cheshire on June 7.

Police attended the incident, which took place by Handforth railway station.

The crash caused traffic delays in the area.

Station Road was closed for over an hour as emergency services dealt with the incident.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said:  "At 1.04pm on Friday (June 7), police were called to reports of a collision on Station Road, Handforth.

"The collision involved two vehicles.

"Two people were treated by paramedics.

"The road was closed while the incident was dealt with and reopened at around 2.40pm."
