With the general election looming, the final candidate lists have been published for three brand new Cheshire parliamentary constituencies.
Voters head to the polls on July 4 and residents in some parts of West Cheshire will be voting to elect MPs in brand new parliamentary seats.
A national boundary shake-up has seen some constituencies redrawn and others torn up altogether and their constituent towns, cities and villages placed in entirely news seats. Three new seats are in Cheshire West and include the following.
Chester North and Neston
Five candidates are going head-to-head to become the new MP for Chester North and Neston.
Nick Brown – Green Party
Samantha Dixon – Labour Party
Simon Eardley – Conservative and Unionist Party

Stephen Gribbon – Liberal Democrats
Chester North and Neston is a new parliamentary constituency and covers the majority of the former City of Chester seat. It is comprised of Chester to the north of the Dee, including the city centre, as well as the town of Neston – itself formerly part of the now defunct Ellesmere Port and Neston constituency.
The electorate is stated as 73,078 and it contains the wards of Blacon; Chester City & the Garden Quarter; Great Boughton; Little Neston; Neston; Newton & Hoole; Parkgate; Saughall & Mollington; Upton; Willaston & Thornton.

Peter Langley – Reform UK
Gillian Edwards – Independent
Chester South & Eddisbury is a new parliamentary seat.
It sees parts of the former City of Chester constituency, mostly south of the River Dee, merge with most of the former Eddisbury constituency.
The boundary changes also see this new seat take in Wybunbury, which was in the Crewe & Nantwich constituency, and the area of Weaver and Cuddington, which was formerly in Weaver Vale.
The electorate is stated as 71,975 and the wards in the Chester South and Eddisbury seat are Audlem; Bunbury; Christleton and Huntington; Farndon; Handbridge Park; Lache; Malpas; Tarporley; Tarvin and Kelsall; Tattenhall; Weaver and Cuddington, Wrenbury and Wybunbury.
Ellesmere Port and Bromborough
A total of six candidates are contesting this seat.
Michael Christopher Aldred – Reform UK
Ruth Kathleen Boulton – Independent
Christopher David Carubia – Liberal Democrats
Lee Evans – Conservative and Unionist Party
Harry Ross Gorman – Green Party
Justin Madders – Labour Party
Ellesmere Port and Bromborough is also a new parliamentary constituency. The seat will cover the majority of, and replace, the Ellesmere Port and Neston constituency, comprising Ellesmere Port – with Neston now being included in the new seat of Chester North and Neston as previously stated. It also includes the two Wirral areas of Bromborough and Eastham from the now abolished constituency of Wirral South.
The electorate is stated as 71,097 and the wards are Central & Grange; Ledsham & Manor; Netherpool; Strawberry; Sutton Villages; Westminster; Whitby Groves; Whitby Park; Wolverham, Bromborough and Eastham.
